Hurricane is better to be prepared!

It is estimated, that half of the total dollar amount of losses caused by natural disasters (hurricanes) are uninsured. The costs are therefore passed on to the victims or the taxpayers; the best move it’s to Get Insured

It is important to create a kit of supplies that you could take with you if you are forced to evacuate because of a hurricane. This kit will also be useful if you are able to keep it in your home in case of other natural disasters. One common trend seen when hurricanes are approaching is widespread panic, people rush in large numbers to get all the supplies they think they need.

However, if you prepare your emergency kit ahead of time, you can alleviate a lot of the potential stress of a very chaotic situation. Don’t forget to secure your home in the event of damaging winds, storm surge, and flooding.

Write down emergency phone numbers and keep them close to you. You most need to understand that Natural disaster (Hurricanes) damage is not covered under standard homeowners policies.

It is always recommended to just follow these steps in the video in order to make your claim in the event of a natural disaster, FEMA will ask you for an estimate for the loss and you need to be prepared.

Hurricane mandatory evacuation!

Grab your emergency supply kit and only take what you really need with you 1 backpack for every member of your family (cell phone, chargers, medicines, identification like a passport or license, and cash).

  2. Turn off the utility services.
  3. While driving follows the roads for emergency evacuations.
  4. Never drive through flooded areas.
  5. Contact your local FEMA office and ask if they offer accommodations for owners with pets.
